Mr. Bonaventure Mbida-Essama, a retired World Bank Official, serves currently as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nelson Mandela Institution. He has a long and varied professional experience. From1972 to 1979, he worked as deputy managing director and managing director of three different private sector companies in Cameroon, his home country. He then joined the World Bank at its Washington DC headquarters as financial analyst and subsequently became senior advisor to an Executive Director at the Board.
Later on, he moved to the International Finance Organization as senior investment officer. He voluntarily left the World Bank in 1988 to start and run his own consulting firm in Douala, Cameroun, concurrently with a fertilizer business that he also started. He returned to the World Bank in 1999 as country manager in Cambodia. From there, he moved back to the Washington headquarters in 2003 as manager of Corporate Affairs and Administration before retiring in 2009.
On retiring, he founded MADIMBA LLC, a consulting firm and has since done high-level consulting assignments with the private sector, the World Bank and the African Development Bank. Mr. Mbida-Essama holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Living and working in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Fanny is a dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic English to French Translator who gained extensive and diversified experience across several areas through the various positions she has been holding in complex multicultural environments.
A mother of three, Fanny believes that every child deserves to have the best start in life and that it is everyone’s responsibility to offer disadvantaged children such as orphans, disabled or street children, the care and education they need to build a bright future. She is supported in this vision by her husband and together, they sponsor children, mostly orphans, to offer them the benefit of an education. As her personal convictions align with the outcomes the Emmanuel Ebot Mbi Foundation seeks to bring around, she is ready to be involved with a Board where she believes she can deliver value and help the Foundation achieve its mission and goals.
Fanny holds a Master’s degree in Micro business management from the Centre international d’études supérieures appliquées, New Brunswick, Canada, and a Professional Certificate in English to French Translation from New York University, New York.
Besides spending time with her family, Fanny loves reading, writing, traveling, and learning new skills

Driven by a burden to reach out to the needy and hurting, he founded Christian Restoration Network (CRN) in 2009. With a mission as “Restoring broken hearts and bringing hope,” CRN has brought hope to several families across Cameroon through her outreaches. In addition, he is a Christian writer and publisher.
For over twenty-five years, Godson has served as a pastor with the Full Gospel Mission. He obtained a Diploma in theology (DTh) from Full Gospel Bible Institute (F.G.B.I) Bamenda Cameroon, a Bachelor of Theology from West Africa Advanced School of Theology (WAAST) Lome – Togo, and he is currently wrapping up with a Masters in Missiology at the Assemblies of God Graduate School of Theology (AGGST) Lome – Togo.
He lives in Yaounde, Cameroon, with his wife Anna Nama and their four children. He loves music, reading, and writing.
As the Vice President of IT Operations, Sylvion is responsible for guiding the company’s IT operations and strategy regarding the fluctuating market and ensuring that the “Solutions Provided. Sylvion’s experience integrates years of collaborating and developing relationships with industry-minded professionals relevant to the contemporary business landscape.
Sylvion has held several leadership roles in the information technology field. He has experience in the planning, development, delivery, and monitoring of technical solutions that address the needs of his customers in support of their missions.
Sylvion loves going on city trips and travelling the world to discover new cultures. He also enjoys running, cycling, spending time with family and friends, or more simply but no less importantly, and relaxing with good reads, music and movies.
